Forward Incoming Messages While Away

This feature applies only to clinical messages you receive from other LMR users or from authorized GE Centricity users. It has no affect upon mail you receive from Outlook, Patient Gateway, or any other electronic mail system.

1.   If you haven't already, go to the Clinical Messages (or Mail Center) module. Your Active queue is displayed. (If you are authorized to view both Clinical Messages and Patient Requests, the Patient Requests tab displays. Click the Clinical Messages tab.)

2.   Click Out of Office.

3.   Select the dates you will be away. (All incoming clinical messages will be automatically forwarded to the LMR user that you specify for each of these days.)

4.   Click the to the right of the field labeled "Forward all messages to." Click to select a name from the drop-down list.

5.   If you also want to send an automatic reply, type your message into the Display Message window.

6.   Click Ok (ALT+O). The Out of Office link gets highlighted in green to indicate the feature is on.

7.   To discontinue forwarding your messages at any time, click Out of Office, and click I am in the Office. (This button displays only when applicable.)
