Select this check box (check mark displayed) to indicate that this medication should be moved to the inactive list when the end date has elapsed. If this check box is not selected, the medication remains on the active list. Depending on your custom preferences settings, this field may be flagged with the text "Can't expire w/o Duration" and the field may be disabled unless you complete the Duration field. For antibiotics, when set, field displays as "Expire this antibiotic." (Settings allow you to pre-set the Expire field for antibiotics, all medications except antibiotics, or both. See Setting Custom Preferences for details.)
