Important: Be aware of the following:
You can only retract notes that you created or that were created for you.
Retracted notes can't be restored. If possible, consider editing, amending, or correcting the note instead.
Retracting a structured note removes only the note. It does not "undo" any updates that the note has made to patient lists (such as problems and medications).
View retracted notes by clicking the Retracted tab in the Notes list.
Any addendum is automatically retracted with the original note. For details, click here.
1. If you haven't already, go to the Notes module or Document Management module.
Note: Document Management defaults to displaying your Preliminary queue. Select another queue, if necessary.
2. Click the subject of the note to display it.
3. Click Error. The LMR displays a popup box.
4. Click one of the displayed choices in the upper section to identify the reason this note should be retracted from the patient's active record. If Other, type a brief explanation in the space provided.
5. Click Ok.
6. If you want to save your work now, click Sign (F10). The LMR indicates the changes that will be saved. Type your key and click Sign.
