The Practice View may automatically display upon entering the EOV Desktop. If not, click Practice View at the top of the screen. Encounters for your practice for today’s date are displayed. Do any of the following:
To display encounters for another date, select the date you want in the upper left area of the screen.
To
view a general summary of an encounter, click the
icon next to the patient’s name. The encounter displays in a popup
window. This icon also is color
coded to show validation
status.
To view information about the selected patient, right-click the patient's name, and select QuickLook. This displays a view-only version of the patient’s record.
A printer icon appears in the Activity column to indicate EOV forms have been printed. You can hover the mouse over the icon to display a tool tip containing the date/time and name of the document that was printed.

To
reconcile pending orders as designated by a
in the Orders column, see Reconciling
Orders with Results.
Click
the history icon ()
in the Activity column to view the history for the associated
encounter. For more details, see Viewing
Encounter History.
For
clinics using electronic order submission (HL7), click the
basket icon () in the
Activity column to view the following information: the date for
which the lab was ordered, the date and time the order was transmitted
or printed, the method of transmission (printed or electronic),
and the lab to which it was sent. The information is updated if
the encounter is edited.
For DFCI only, if a patient has unlinked orders, "UO" displays in the Activity column. For more information, see Managing Order/Visit Linking.
