Note: Before an administration can be documented, the associated visit date and item (medication, blood product, hydration, or IV route) must already exist on the flowsheet.
1. If you haven't already, select the patient and go to the Infusion Flowsheet module.
Note: Patients treated at both MGH and the DFCI may have more than one flowsheet. If so, click the desired flowsheet and Ok (ALT+O) to continue.
2. Click the heading on the left to expand the list to display the item (medication, chemotherapy, hydration, IV route, etc) to be administered. (You cannot document administrations for Take Home Oral Chemotherapy medications.)
3. Click the cell on the grid for that item and visit date. The LMR displays the appropriate administration screen.
Note: If the patient had previous administrations for that visit, they are listed at the top of the screen. To edit a previous administration, click its line from the list and make your changes. Then, for IV routes, click Add and Ok (ALT+O), or for all other administration types, click Add.
4. Complete the displayed fields. Then, for IV routes, click Add and Ok (ALT+O), or for all other administrations, click Add.
5. If you want to save your work now, click Sign. The LMR indicates the changes that will be saved. Type your key and click Sign.
