The Custom Family History module allows you to create and edit a grid of family history items to make it easy for you to update the history of patients for issues based on the needs of your practice. You can create multiple Family History grids, but must select one as the default grid that displays when you go to the Fam/Soc History module. From the Fam/Soc History module, items on the grid can be documented for the patient with a few mouse clicks.
Note that the grid that displays for any patient (in Patient Chart > Fam/Soc History) includes any family history items that have been documented for that patient followed by items from this grid. If a family history item was documented for the patient that is also on your custom grid, it is only listed once.
Note: If you do not create a custom family history grid, the LMR applies the Enterprise Family History Grid, displaying a standard list of items (with slight changes, based on the age of the patient). You can re-apply the Enterprise Family History Grid by deleting all custom grids.
If you have multiple Family History grids, you can sort your list by clicking any column header. The check box in the header of the first column allows you to delete all custom Family History grids with a single click.
