Preliminary status notes are automatically finalized after 21 days.
The Auto-Finalized status is similar to Final status in that it causes the note to be removed from your Preliminary queue, and prevents subsequent edits. Auto-finalized notes display with the status "AF" in the main Notes and Document Management screens.
By clicking Approve, when applicable, you can update the status of any of your auto-finalized notes from "Auto-Finalized" to "Signed" when you open the note from the Notes or Document Management module.
Note: Auto-finalized notes are not considered "Complete" when running the Notes Compliance Status Report or setting the Notes Compliance Status.
