Copying an Existing Annotated Diagram

1.   If you haven’t already, go to the Notes view.

2.   Click the View link for the note and diagram you wish to copy.

3.   Click Copy. This creates an exact copy of the note and the diagram is now editable.

4.   Double-click the diagram link (for free-form notes) or image (for structured notes) to open the diagram within the Annotated Diagrams window.

5.   Make edits as necessary.

6.   Click Save & Close to save the diagram and exit the Annotated Diagrams window.

Note: This functionality is only available from within structured notes.

1.   To "carry forward" (copy) a previous diagram for a patient, click the desired structured note section, and then click the drop-down arrow to the right of the Forward field. Options appear only if previous diagrams or comments were added to that section. For annotated diagrams, the associated comments appear in the drop-down list, not the diagram name.

2.   Click to select the comments from the diagram you want to insert. The diagram displays within the note section.

3.   Double-click the diagram image to open the diagram within the Annotated Diagrams window.

4.   Make edits as necessary.

5.   Click Save & Close to save the diagram and exit the Annotated Diagrams window.
