Result Codes By Site

The codes used to flag results vary by site.

• All sites

• C = Corrected
• T = Text comment attached
• Red text = Abnormal. (Prior to 7/29/04, DFCI used red text to indicate critically abnormal values only.) 

• BWH / DFCI / FH / NSMC / ExtData

• L = Abnormally low.
• LL = Critically low.
• H = Abnormally high.
• HH = Critically high.
• # = Significant change (used by all sites before 05/31/2015).
• * = Abnormal (used by BWH only, before 05/31/2015).
• **= Critically abnormal (used by DFCI only, before 07/29/2004).

• MEEI

• L = Abnormally low.
• * = Abnormal.
• ** = Critically abnormal.

• MGH

• L = Abnormally or critically low.
• H = Abnormally or critically high.
• * = panic value (used before 01/01/1999).
• V = verified (used before 01/01/1999).

• NWH / SRN (SRH/SHC) / MVH

• L = Abnormally low.
• LL = Critically low.
• H = Abnormally high.
• HH = Critically high.
• # = Significant change.
• * = Abnormal (used for non-numeric values).
