Severe Pain Report
This report lists all patients whose pain scales remain in the severe/chronic level on pain scale documentation. The report includes each patient with a continuous interval of at least 24 hours with a pre- or post-pain scale documented as level 8 or greater. It also includes the pain medication associated with the pain scale.
- If you haven't already:
- Hold the mouse pointer over the OE/eMAR menu in the PHS Viewer, then click MGH eMAR.
- Hold the mouse pointer over the Reports option, then click Other Reports menu.
- Click to select Severe Pain Report.
- Click to select a care unit.
- By default, the report is sorted by medical record number. Click to select an option from the drop-down menu to change the sorting parameter: MRN, medication, or date.
- By default, the report is sorted in descending (Desc) order; by date shows most recent first; all other sorts are alphabetical. Click to select the Asc option to reverse the order.
- Click the Today or Yesterday option to select those as the report date range, or click
beside the From and To fields to select the start and end dates of the desired reporting period.
- Click Display.
- For reports containing more than one page, click
to go to the next page or
to go to the previous page.
- To magnify the report, click the
