Lab Views - Labs (Panels)
The Labs view displays results from and blood bank, organized by lab, and then by test panel. The hierarchy of panels and tests changed with the implementation of Digital Health eCare on 5/30/2015.
Data are limited to results reported on or before 12/31/2017. For more recent and current information, check the Epic chart.
- All datatypes are available for MGH and BWH. For details on all other sites, see .
- The data displayed by default depends on your home page preferences settings. To change these, see Home Page - Setting Preferences.
- To display this view, hold the mouse pointer over the Lab Views menu, and then click the option for Labs.
- To select the to include, click to check (include) or uncheck (exclude) the options below the menu, and then click the Submit button.
- On the left, tests are organized by lab, and then by panel. Some panels include sub-panels, which contain tests.
- Click
to the left of the lab name to show its panels; click
to hide them. Click
to the left of the panel name to show its sub-panels and labs; click
to hide them.
- Click Expand All to display all sub-panels and tests.
- To view test results for any panel, click the panel name on the left.
- The data are shown on the right in a results grid with that flag abnormal or critically abnormal values. These codes vary by site.
- To display all information for a lab specimen, including tests, results, reference ranges, and collection and completion time stamps:
- Click the link for any test result for the specimen.
- To close the viewer, click
in the upper right of the PHS Viewer Popup.

Because data are limited to results reported on or before 12/31/2017, the single test trend display is not available.

For trends for a particular test:
- To display a table of results for a particular test (trend view), click the link for the test name.
- To switch to the original view, click the PHS Viewer Activity on the right. Click the PHS Viewer Popup Activity to switch again.
- To close the viewer, click
in the upper right of the PHS Viewer Popup.
