This function is for Information Systems staff only.
If you haven't already:
Click Tools (ALT+L).
Click Build Personal Order Sets (ALT+B).
Click to select the type of sets you're building: MGH Inpatient or AMB Outpatient (Ambulatory Chemo for MGH, BWH, and DFCI).
Add the order set to the list:
Click the yellow folder that you want to add the order set to.
Click Add (ALT+A).
Click to select the Order Set option.
To set the orders to ED parameters when applicable, click Yes for the ED Template options.
Type a name and description.
Click OK (ALT+O).

The Orders For This Session list opens. Click the button for an order type you need.
For Consults, IV Fluids, Laboratory, or Medication, click Add (ALT+A) to open the order form. For other types of orders, click the appropriate button to open a specific order form.
Complete the order form and click OK (ALT+O).
Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the Orders For This Session list. The new order is listed here.
Repeat the process to add orders from all types as needed.
Save the orders:
Click Sign (ALT+S).
When prompted, type your signing key.
Click OK (ALT+O).
Fine-Tune and Organize the Order Set
To view the entire order, click Zoom (ALT+Z). Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the Definer.
To change or add an order, or remove an order from the list, click Edit (ALT+E). The Orders For This Session scratch pad opens, listing every order in the set. See Editing Orders.
To move lines, click one to select it, then click Up (ALT+U) or Down (ALT+D).
To create sections with headings, select the line that will be the first in the section, then click Insert Text (ALT+I). Next, type the heading in the field provided and click OK (ALT+O).
To remove a heading, click the line, then click Delete Text (ALT+D).
For BWH Ambulatory order sets only, print:
Click to select a folder, then click Print (ALT+N).
Printing is enabled for each folder level
Printout headings include the template name, path,and description on each page of the printed set/template
A signature page prints at the end of each set/template that is printed
When printing a yellow folder, all contents of the green order set folders it contains are printed, with a signature page at the end of each order set
Close the definer:
Click OK (ALT+O).
Click Exit to UCM Options (ALT+X).
