There are a number of ways to change a patient's chemotherapy orders, each dependent on the situation. Click to view the corresponding process:

• Changing the Dose for an Active Chemo Order Patient is receiving chemo, dose for following administrations must be decreased due to adverse reaction or other reason

• Changing Other Parameters in an Active Chemo Order Changes needed for instructions, infusion rates, frequency of administration, flow rate, etc.

• Changing the Scheduled Days for an Active Chemo Order Patient is receiving chemo, need to change or skip days due to adverse reaction or other reason

• Discontinuing an Active Chemo Order D/C an order to stop administration

• Ending Treatment From a Protocol Remove patient from protocol registration to allow ordering from a regimen

• Switching to an Alternate Regimen Before the Original Treatment is Complete Patient is receiving chemo, current therapy isn't acceptable due to adverse reaction or other reason; discontinue (D/C existing) orders from current treatment and replace with orders from an alternate regimen

• Changing the Treatment Date for Active Orders Patient will not receive treatment as scheduled; reset the treatment date to prevent the orders from expiring
