Update UCM During PATCOM Downtime—Discharge

• If you haven't already:

1. Select ÿStart>Partners Applications>Downtime ADT Tool.

2. Type your key, then click OK (ALT+O).

• The status field in the upper right indicated whether the downtime ADT Tool is currently active. IS staff activate the tool in the event of a PATCOM downtime.

• Admit patient to inpatient care unit or ED treatment area

• Transfer patient to a different care unit, bed, or ED treatment area

• Discharge patient

1. Find up the patient—If the patient is in the ED, click the option. Select the inpatient care unit or ED treatment area form the associated drop-down list.

2. Click the name to select the correct patient.

To deselect the patient displayed, click Clear (ALT+C).

3. Click Discharge (ALT+D).

4. When prompted, click OK (ENTER) to verify that you are discharging the patient, or Cancel to go back.

5. To check the census—If the patient was in the ED, click the option. Next, select the inpatient care unit or ED treatment area form the associated drop-down list. The census for the selected unit or area displays below on the right.
