Expanded versus Summary Printing

Summary View includes only basic order information, with coded flags in brackets <> to indicate that more information in included. The Summary is the display you see in order lists.

Expanded View includes all information available for the order. The Expanded view is the same as the Zoom display.

Printing defaults to the Summary View for inpatient orders, and Expanded view for ambulatory patient orders.

• To change the amount of detail included in the printout:

1. Select a patient.

2. Click View (ALT+V).

3. Click Options (ALT+O).

4. Click Summary View or Expanded View in the Print section.
