You will probably find it faster to keep your hands on the keyboard instead of combining mouse clicks and typing. Here are some tips on moving through Order Entry using the keyboard:
Press TAB to move to the next field or section, and SHIFT+TAB to move backwards.
Hot keys—when you see a letter underlined in the name of a section, tab, field, or button, press the ALT key and the underlined letter on the keyboard at the same time. There are two ALT keys, located on either side of the spacebar.
Fast filter keys to limit the list of orders to a particular type in the View Orders list.
Lists that allow more than one choice appear as check boxes. Tab to a check box section—the heading turns bold—then press the letter, number, or hot key combination corresponding with a choice to select or deselect it. If there is no selection key, press the DOWN ARROW key to move the cursor to the checkbox, then press the SPACEBAR key to select or deselect it.
Short lists that allow only one choice appear as option buttons. Tab to an option button section—the heading turns bold—then press the LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW keys to change options.
Long lists that allow only one choice appear as drop-down fields. The drop-down list opens automatically when you access the field. To make a selection, press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW keys to highlight a choice, then press TAB to move to the next field. To move quickly through the list, type the first letter of the item you want.
