Order General Care—Activity

• If you haven't already:

1. Select the patient.

2. Click Write (ALT+W).

3. Click General Care (ALT+G).

4. Click Activity (ALT+A).

• Complete the order:

1. Click a checkbox to select one or more activities.

2. Complete the order as follows for the selections:

• Bed rest: Click to select one bed rest option. If you choose the last, type the number of hours, then a description of activity after bed rest.

• Other activities: Click one or more other activities. If elevating the head of bed, type number of degrees; for CPM, type instructions. If Other, type a description in the field provided.

• Weight bearing activities: Click a checkbox to choose one option, then type related instructions.

3. Select a Start Time (Now or Other ).

4. Click OK (ALT+O).

• For adult bed rest orders, consequent orders are defined. See Consequent Orders.

• Write additional orders as needed, then sign the session.
