If you haven't already:
Click Write (ALT+W).
Click Sets/Templates (ALT+A).
Open the order set:
Sets and templates are organized in yellow folders for clinical scenarios or services or departments. Click a yellow folder to display its contents.
Click the green order set folder to display its orders in the list to the left.
Select the orders:
To select all of the orders in the set, click Order (ALT+R) with the folder highlighted.
To select individual orders, click the corresponding checkbox, or highlight the line and click Order (ALT+R).
A indicates that an order is selected.
Complete the session and sign:
Click OK (ALT+O) to return to the Orders For This Session list.
To change any of the selected orders before signing,click to select the order, then click Edit (ALT+E).
Depending on the type of order, only certain fields can be changed after an order has been signed.
Click to select from drop-down lists .
Type over, delete, or add to text entries.
Click to select different options . These are mutually exclusive; selecting one in a group automatically deselects the others.
Click to check or uncheck items .
For checkbox or drop-down list selections with additional information, click the button to the right to display the entry form.
For certain orders, click the labeled button—clinical history, reasons, or restrictions, for example—to open the form for editing. Click OK (ALT+O) to continue.
Write additional orders as needed. See Writing Orders.
Sign the session.
