If you haven't already:
Click Tools (ALT+L).
Click File Maintenance (ALT+F).
Click POE Downtime Utility (ALT+O).
Setup the downtime:
Enter date and time that the unscheduled downtime started and ended.
Click Create Downtime Order (ALT+C).
Review the text of the order as displayed in the General Care/Other Order view.
Close the function:
Click Exit (ALT+E) to return to File Maintenance.
Click Close (ALT+C).
Click Exit to the UCM (ALT+X).
If errors occur in writing the orders, this information is displayed in the status line beneath the patient Census list.
To generate a paper list of patients who did not have the POE downtime order written, click Print Error Report (ALT+P). The report includes each patient's name, medical record number, and location.
