If you haven't already:
Click Tools (ALT+L).
Click Build Personal Order Sets (ALT+B).
Open the order form:
Click the green order set containing the order to change. (Sets and templates are organized into yellow folders by service or clinical condition. Click a yellow folder to display its contents.)
Click Edit (ALT+E).
The Orders For This Session list opens. Click to select the line for the order you want to change.
Click Edit (ALT+E). The order is displayed on the appropriate form.
Change the order as needed:
Update the parameters:
Depending on the type of order, only certain fields can be changed after an order has been signed.
Click to select from drop-down lists .
Type over, delete, or add to text entries.
Click to select different options . These are mutually exclusive; selecting one in a group automatically deselects the others.
Click to check or uncheck items .
For checkbox or drop-down list selections with additional information, click the button to the right to display the entry form.
For certain orders, click the labeled button—clinical history, reasons, or restrictions, for example—to open the form for editing.
Click OK (ALT+O) to return to Orders For This Session.
Update the set as needed:
Write additional orders for the set as needed. See Writing Orders.
Delete orders from the set as needed. See Deleting Orders From a Set.
Save the changes:
Click Sign (ALT+S)
When prompted, type your signing key.
Click OK (ALT+O) to return to the Definer.
Close the definer:
Click OK (ALT+O).
Click Exit to UCM Options (ALT+X).
