MGH PAML Quick Tips

1. Start PAML on admission

2. Sort Meds from Electronic sources (MSL) by date

3. Print MSL

4. Review currently used meds/OTCs with patient/caregiver

5. Build PAML by choosing actual medications/OTCs

6. Indicate PAA (Planned Action on Admission) for each PAML med

7. Sign the PAML as "PAML Creation: Complete"

8. Copy/Paste the PAML into your admit note

9. Order inpatient meds using PAML-to-Orders

10. Reconcile Medications at Discharge
