Build the folder containing sets of antiemetic, hydration, and chemotherapeutic orders—See Adding Orders to Order Sets in Regimens and Protocols
Sign to save your work in the builder—See Signing in the Chemo Builder
Click Tools (ALT+T), then click Build Chemo Regimen/Protocol (ALT+P).
Click to select the yellow folder containing the order sets (green folders) with the orders that you want to link.
Click Linking (ALT+K).
At the reminder to sign your work in the builder, click No (ALT+N) to continue. Click Yes (ENTER) and sign if you have not done so—See Signing in the Chemo Builder.
Orders that have not been signed to save are not included as orders for linking.
Click the Orders of Interest tab to display the list.
Orders of Interest include any medications, IV fluids, and chemo agents in the folder containing the sets of orders that can be linked.
Click on the left of its summary to display details of an order. Click the Orders of Interest tab to return to the list.
Orders that include active links are flagged with <L>.
Click the Add/Edit Links tab.
Add a new link or edit an existing link:
Add:
Click to check Add a link.
Select Mutually Exclusive, Mix Together, Time Offset, or Sequential from the list of link types.
Edit: Click to the right of the link you want to change.
Define the link:
Click one or more orders in the list on the left to select them. Hold the CTRL key down while clicking individual orders to select more than one, or hold the SHIFT key down and click the first and last of several orders to select these as well as any orders listed between them.
The complete summary of the selected order displays beneath the lists.
Click to add the selection to the list of mutually exclusive orders.
Repeat for all orders that cannot be ordered together.
To remove an order from the mutually exclusive list, click its line, then click .
Click an order in the list on the left, then click to add it to the list of orders to be mixed together.

Repeat for all orders that should be mixed together.
To remove an order from the mix together list, click its line, then click .
Click an order in the list on the left, then click to add it to the list of sequential orders.
The complete summary of the selected order displays beneath the lists.
Repeat for all orders that should be administered in sequence.
Organize the list from first order to be given through last order to be given.
To move an order up in the sequence, click its line, then click .
To move an order down in the sequence, click its line, then click .
To remove an order from the mutually exclusive list, click its line, then click .
Click to select an item from the First Order list.
The complete summary of the selected order displays beneath the lists.
Type the number of hours that this first order should be administered before the next order.
Use decimals to define partial hours—for example, 0.5 = 30 minutes, 0.25 = 15 minutes, 0.75 = 45 minutes.
Click to select an item from the Second Order list.
To define another time offset, click and repeat the process.
To remove a set of orders from the time offset, click to the right of its line.
Click Submit.
Sign to save your changes.
The Sign button label is red when there are changes to be saved.
By default, only active links are listed. Click the option to show all links if needed.
Inactive links are view only. They cannot be changed or reactivated.
Click the Add/Edit Links tab.
Click to the right of the link you want to inactivate.
Click OK (ALT+O) to verify that you want to inactivate the selected link. Click Cancel (ALT+C) to return to the list.

Type your signing key when prompted.

Review the history of changes to links for the selected folder by clicking the tab for the Audit History of Signed Links.
Click Exit to return to the chemo builder.
