Once you delete an order and close a scratch pad, either by writing another order or signing out, the deleted order no longer exists.
Discontinued orders can only be restored before signing, from either the Current Orders scratch pad or the Orders For This Session scratch pad. Once these orders have been signed, you must write a new order to restore them.
Orders that have been inactivated by the activation of transfer, post-op, or delayed rewrite orders cannot be restored or reactivated. Such orders must be rewritten as new orders.
Orders discontinued in response to a Drug-Drug Interaction alert cannot be restored manually. If you delete the new medication order that replaced the discontinued order, the original is restored automatically.
To restore an order before signing:
Click the line for the deleted or discontinued order in the scratch pad.
Click Restore (ALT+R).
Write additional orders as needed, then sign the session.
