When there is greater than 5% difference between the LMR and previous COE weight, and you click OK without updating with the LMR weight, you are prompted to indicate this is what you do intend. If you haven't already:
If you do not update with the LMR weight, the orders are automatically set to prevent recalculation of weight-based dosing when the orders are activated. Your reason for not updating is included in the orders as the reason to prevent recalculation. To continue without using the LMR weight:
Click No (ALT+N).
When prompted, type your reason for not using the LMR weight. (This information is carried over to any weight-based orders in the chemo folder, as the reason to prevent recalculation of weight-based dosing.) See Ordering Chemotherapy > Edit a Chemo Order > If needed, prevent recalculation.
Click OK (ALT+O).
To use the LMR data for ordering chemo:
Click Yes (ALT+Y).
This data is available from the patient’s ambulatory Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR). The difference between the LMR weight and the most recent Chemo Order Entry (COE) weight is displayed. For comparison and calculation, as with manual entry described above, the care setting determines which unit—US customary or metric—is used. If there is no previous COE weight (including the case that the last COE weight is expired), the difference is 100%.
Click Update COE with LMR Information (ALT+U) to use this data for ordering chemo.
From the data display, click Cancel (ALT+C) to close without using the LMR weight. If there is more than a 5% difference, you will be prompted to confirm this after you OK the ordering setup.
To re-display this LMR data, click View LMR Weight & Height.
