April 3, 2014—Enhancements to DEx Discharge Summaries
DEx Discharge Express now includes information about prescriptions written for the patient's discharge orders. In addition, providers signing discharge summaries in DEx for review and final signature by the patient's attending can access care team information when signing a summary as Complete/Unsigned.
Key features:
Prescriptions: In the section for Discharge Medications, if a medication order includes a prescription, details are included and flagged Rx.
Prescription information does not include whether the scrip was filled.
Assigning an MD to review and finalize the summary in DEx: Providers completing the summary can click a link next to the provider lookup 
to display care team information, including the name of the patient's attending MD.
