Discharge Medications—Automatic review on completing reconciliation
A view-only list of discharge orders is presented automatically when discharge orders are signed as final, and all of the medications in both the current pre-admission list (PAML) and inpatient orders have been reconciled.
Key Features:
Available for all care units where the patient discharge medication list (PDML) is generated automatically from the discharge orders.
Presented automatically on signing discharge orders as final, and on signing amendments to finalized discharge orders.
When presented automatically, the provider has the option to return to the Medications folder in Discharge to make changes if needed, before completing the signature.
Also accessible from the Face Sheet/Discharge Orders Medications folder.
The pre-admission medications that were not resumed for discharge are listed at the top. These are the medications that the patient is instructed to stop taking.
Medication orders for discharge are listed in a separate section. The display can be maximized when there are many orders.
List shows which orders have prescriptions, and which of these prescriptions have been printed.
