The optimal search criteria is a medical record number.
As of 1/14/2013, all Partners entities are required to include special characters as needed in the patient’s full name if the legal name includes any of the following special characters: hyphen, apostrophe or period. All patient registrations after that date were entered to include special characters, but previously registered patient names may still be listed without special characters. Use name variations when searching for a patient.
If a search by name including special characters does not find a match, try searching without the special characters, and no space - for example, OBrien, SmithJones, or StCyr.
If the search still does not find a match, try searching with a space in place of each special character - for example, O Brien, Smith Jones or St Cyr.
