Search for Templates by Content

The builder/editor search allows authorized users to find templates for protocols or treatment plans or both, in any status or one (Activated, Building, or Maintenance), which have or do not have particular options or values. The search results include links to display the detail view of each template fond, and can be exported to Excel.

• If you haven't already:

1. Hold the mouse pointer over the Protocols / Treatment Plans menu item.
2. Mouse over the specialty you want, Oncology or Non-Oncology.
3. Click to select the Search option.

• To start the search, click to check an option under Cell Type.
• Results are sorted under their applicable headings, Protocol Templates or Treatment Plan Templates. All results include the protocol number, cell type, name, and status of the templates listed.
• To limit or change the results:

• The search looks for both protocols and treatment plans by default. If needed, click to select another option.
• The default setting is to search for templates with any available status. To limit the results to a single status, click to select the Activated, Building, or Maintenance option.

• To look for templates that have or do not have particular options or values:

1. Click to select an Order Type: Collection, Process, or Release.
2. Click to select an option for the selected order type.
3. Click to select option values, as applicable:

• When the ordering option includes a list of values for the provider to select from, click one or more checkboxes.
• When the ordering option is a text field, click to select an option: Text field that contains text, Text field that contains no text (blank), or Text field that shows both, text and no text.

4. By default, the results include templates that contain the options and values as selected. To look for templates that do not have the selected parameters, click the Show Templates Not Containing option. This searches for templates that do not contain the option at all, and if a value is selected, excludes templates that contain that value.
5. For searches to Show Templates Containing selected values, click the option to either Show All Protocol/Treatment Plans containing selected values (and possibly other values) or Show Only selected values exclusively (templates that offer only the selected values, and no others, for the option).
6. Click Display.

• Results for searches based on whether templates have particular options or values include a column for the selected option. If you opted to Show Templates Not Containing, that column includes the value if there is one, and "DOES NOT CONTAIN" if the option is not on the template at all.
• To copy the results to a spreadsheet:

1. Click Export to Excel.
2. When prompted, update the default file name (SearchProtocolTreatmentPlan) as needed, then click OK.
3. When prompted to open or save the xls file:

• To open the spreadsheet of search results in Excel, click Open.
• To download the spreadsheet to your device, click Save. See Working with Downloaded Files.
• To save the file to another location, click the  to the right of Save and then click Save As. Browse to the folder you want, then click Save.
• To open the spreadsheet automatically after downloading to your device, click the  to the right of Save and then click Save and Open.

• To display details of a template, click in its View column.

• To generate a paper copy of the details, click Print.
• To update the details, click Refresh.
• To return to the search results, click Close.

• To clear the search results, click to uncheck all options under Cell Types.
