Viewing Allergies

The Allergy Manager allows all authorized users to view active and inactive allergies and reactions that have been recorded for the patient in the Partners Enterprise Allergy Repository.

• Data for this view continues to be updated.

Uncoded (or free-text) allergies are listed with an asterisk (*) preceding the allergen name. These entries cannot be used in decision support (such as drug-allergy checking).

• To view the history for an allergen, click its Updated date.

• The Allergy Manager displays a list of edits for that allergy, as well as the source application for the entry.
• Click Return to close the history and return to the allergies list.

• To display inactive allergies, click for Inactivated Allergies at the bottom of the list.
• Click in the patient heading (next to the name) to display patient demographics. See Viewing patient demographic and visit information.
