Auditing a referral

  • If you haven't already:
  1. Click Referrals Received on the main menu.
  1. Click the patient name to select a case.
  • If you've moved off of the Referral Management view, click manage.

The referral audit provides a list of the actions performed on a referral, such as referral creation, provider matching, viewing, changing of status, messaging, and so on. Each action in the list includes the date and time it happened, details when applicable, the referring provider, and the user ID of the person who carried out the activity. 

Running & viewing an audit report

  • Click  in the upper right of the referral info card (insurance, hospital service, patient need, Progress and Case Owner), and then click the Audit Trail icon Audit Trail option. 
  • Long lists are divided into pages. The page navigator includes a drop-down list of items per page drop down arrow, the current page number, the total number of pages, and the previous drop down arrow and next drop down arrow page buttons.

    • To change the number of items per page, click to select from the Items per page drop-down list (bottom right). 

    • To display the next page, click Right-arrow button. To display the previous page, click Left-arrow button. (Scroll up a bit if the page navigation buttons are covered by another button.)

  • By default, the list is sorted by date and time, most recent first. To sort by a different parameter, click a column heading. to reverse the sort order, click the column heading again.
  • To filter for specific actions, type all or part of the name of the action in the Enter Action Name field, and then press ENTER. For example:
  • Type message to limit the list to messages sent and received.
  • Type status to limit the list to status changes.
  • Only one filter is allowed; if you enter a different action, it replaces any you had before.
  • To clear the filter, click Remove X on criteria item on the item in the search criteria.

Returning to the patient's referral management view

Click manage in the upper right.
